Cechą charakterystyczną sterownika transformatora stopniowego jest to, że jego wentylatory nie wydają „buczącego” dźwięku przy niższych obrotach. Transformator stopniowy steruje prędkością wentylatora automatycznie w skali 6-stopniowej w górę lub w dół w zależności od temperatury (jego pracę przedstawia wskaźnik złożony z kolorowych diod LED). Do ustawiania histerezy (temperatury czułości) służą dwie gałki. Sterownik jest dostarczany jako element gotowy, przygotowany do użycia. Ten niezawodny sterownik wentylatora jest wyposażony w uszczelnioną pokrywę wodoodporną, zatyczki z klapkami uchylnymi i czujnik niskonapięciowy, dzięki czemu doskonale nadaje się do stosowania w wilgotnych pomieszczeniach. Do czujnika dołączony jest cztery metry kabla, który może być przedłużany do 50 metrów.
